Anne-Marie has developed a new 'Skills for Life' programme and is currently visiting schools throughout the UK. By using Martha as the focus of the discussion, Anne-Marie is able to provide a unique insight in order to help young people think about their own lives and consider ways they can keep themselves safe.

The Workshops have been designed to be fun, informative and interactive, exploring topics such as:

  • adversity & loss
  • happiness
  • harm reduction
  • restorative justice
  • peer pressure
  • adolescent brain development
  • who am I?

In her own words "Teenagers need skills to help them cope with the pace and pressures of modern life and these workshops provide them with a range of tools in order to achieve that." Anne-Marie

Each pupil is provided with a teenage toolkit containing various recommended resources such as:

  • Ted Talks
  • Books
  • Films
  • Music
  • Harm Reduction
  • When to seek help

"Anne-Marie has visited Cheney School on a number of occasions, speaking to our Sixth Form about her own experiences as well harm reduction. Her warm and welcoming approach to running the sessions has encouraged students to attend...On leaving the session, students commented on how much they learnt...I think there is strong need to education in this area."

Heather Doherty, Head of Sixth Form, Cheney School, Oxford
